 Louis is a multiple Emmy-nominated cinematographer who has shot everything from wildlife to adventure/reality game shows to cooking shows. South African born and raised, Louis began his career by teaching himself how to shoot and edit surf movies the age of 20, wanting to share his passion with the rest of the world. He attended AFDA Film School in Johannesburg and then Cape Town where he finished a 3-year bachelor’s degree in Motion Picture Medium.

His graduating film Sindiswa was nominated for the Student Academy Awards (Student Oscars) in Hollywood. He’s gone on to work on many international projects including the American Survivor series and has received 8 Emmy Nominations for Outstanding Cinematography. He is passionate about capturing performance and amplifying story with camera, lens and light.
